I Just finished up a custom order for one of my favorite clients today. It’s a cog hair ornament with an alligator clip in back. Painted three different antique metallic colors (bronze, silver, gold). She has a full head of long blonde dread lock so it’s going to look just stunning in her hair. I just finished up a custom order for a lovely woman in Washington, DC. For her wedding she wanted one of my hair combs in antique gold to match her dress. Baptiste Henri Jacques Giffard invented the steam powered airship. It was the world’s first passenger-carrying airship, or dirigible). A truly remarkable invention by an inspired man. This is my little tribute that mans genius and vision.

My elegant Adventurer’s Necklace

The design spark for this necklace came out of melding the two movies “Death on the Nile” and “Out of Africa”, in my brain. Oh, and then a little “Murder on the Orient Express” was thrown in to even everything out. Capturing the glamour of the early part of the last century, with the untamed beauty of foreign locales was my mission.

This is my little tribute to the genius of science fiction, and the hero of steampunk culture Jules Verne. I designed this pendant so that the frame would have the feel of a porthole on a submarine, complete with worn metal and rivets. The chains dangling from it would mimic octopus tentacles.

This is one of my favorite pendants I make. It is so intricate with layer upon layer of tiny clock hands. That in the end it kind of reminds me of a steampunk android’s sternum.
